It is quite nerve wrecking when I send our products to be reviewed by various editors. Even though I know and believe our products are awesome, I still get the butterflies when waiting for  their feedback. However, the feeling I get when reading their reviews is one of euphoria because every review thus far has raved about how wonderful our products are.

It is truly satisfying to know that our products have made our reviewers feel pampered and special.

Lip Gloss Is My Life

Tranquil Body Treats has come a long way since we first started production about a year and a half ago and we can only grow stronger from hereon.

After a lot of thought, Desiree has decided to relocate her Tranquil Body Treats shop that is currently located at Bayside Mall, Table View Cape Town.

One of the main reasons we chose the specific shop was because it was located near one of the main entrances where parking was free and the access boom was located a few metres from the shop. However, this changed after a month or so of moving into the shop. The council have requested the boom to be closed. With this being done traffic or feet have minimized drastically.

The decision was not an easy one because Desiree has a regular client base and her shop is truly beautiful, but unfortunately in retail location is key.

The shop will close the 1st of February.

Desiree is offering her clients a less 50% SALE on all products.

Yvonne, the current shop manager will be the representative for the  Cape Town area until we have found another shop.

We are looking at a new development a couple of kilometers from Bayside as well as Constantia Kloof and Stellenbosch.

Most of you are aware that I am married to a fitness fanatic. My husband, business partner and partner in crime – cycles, runs, plays golf as well as league squash.

I on the other hand, well that’s an entirely different story.

Barend cycles for the Vodacom team. After much begging from him – to me – to make an anti – chafe cream. I finally gave in and started working on formulas. The first few formula’s were an absolute disaster to say the least, however after a lot of trial and error I can honestly say that I’ve perfected the formula and we can now launch an awesome product.

To mention just a few of the ingredients : shea butter (rehydration), almond oil (essential fatty acids), glycerine and cocoa butter (anti-oxidant). I’ve added a blend of tea tree, lavender and geranium essential oils.

Tea Tree is an awesome healing oil. It has so many anti-viral and anti-fungal benefits, perfect when one thinks  of the amount of sweat that is built up during  sports.

Lavender also promotes healing and encourages new skin growth. Just what one needs when your skin has been chaffed away.

Geranium is an anti-bacterial and anti-microbial keeping you safe from infections. It also regenerates new cells.

A few months ago our cream was put to the test by the Vodacom cycling team. They participated in the Joburg 2C race. For those that do not know about the race. It requires the cyclist to sit on his / her b-hind for at least 6 hours a day, for 9 days. A total of 923km.

I am thrilled to announce that our Anit-Chafe Cream was given the thumbs up by the entire team. (thank you ladies and gents)
