The concept of Tranquil Body Treats came about when I realized that the cost of the body scrub which I purchased for my beauty salon ,was ridiculously over priced.

A client of mine suggested that I try and make my own scrubs, as most  spa’s make their own.  I read the ingredients and noted that they were nothing more than simple, inexpensive ingredients that I could easily purchase.

While exploring the list of ingredients I decide to create my own body salt scrub. After a couple of months I ventured out and started making skin and body care products, now named Tranquil Body Treats.

Tranquil Body Treats consists of a naturally therapeutic skin, body and baby care product range. Our products are made from only the best natural ingredients our earth has to offer, and they are all handmade.

We do not use laurel sulphate, parabens, alcohol or harsh chemicals as ingredients.

All of our products are fragranced with luscious scents. Please note that although most of our products are edible, they are certainly not palatable!

Our line consists of a variety of body and bath products, a manicure and pedicure range, facial range, glycerine soaps, essential and massage oils. We also boast an awesome Mom To Be range, Kids Range, Gentleman’s and Baby Range.

As a qualified beauty therapist, reflexologist and an aromatherapy masseuse I can assure you  that I have profound  knowledge about the skin and body.

Before launching our products, they were tried and tested on 20 candidates of different ages, skin types and conditions.  Only the best products were selected.

Since opening our company a little over a year ago, we have secured our products in some well known salons and spas. (we have a fabulous spa range). We have a franchised store in Cape Town and one in Pretoria, with three more pending.

Our flagship shop is situated at Life Style Garden Centre, Randpark Ridge, Roodepoort. We have a factory in Roodepoort, where all of our products are made by hand. No machinery is used in our factory.

We have awesome monthly specials for all of our clients, including our spa and salons. Gift bags and gift vouchers are also available on request in our franchised stores.

My husband and I work as a team.  I create and make all of the products, and run with the marketing, whilst he ensures that the day to day running of the business is kept in order.
